About Climate Week

Climate Week at UEA 2025 is the first entirely student-run climate week in the UK! The week of over 30+ events is completely student-run, sustainable and inclusive. By combining interdisciplinary and intersectional elements, we've created events for everyone, such as talks, stalls and workshops on climate change and: medicine, media, policy, psychology, development, business, sports, community, education, career development and more!

About UEA SU Sustainability Working Group and SSN

Climate Week at UEA 2025 is brought to you by Youth Climate Solutions and is supported by the new UEA Students Union Sustainability Working Group and Student Sustainability Network. The network is a WhatsApp community for students and staff, with a couple hundred members already, to come together and mobilise for sustainability projects! Through the network, we've been able to recruit a team of over 25 student volunteers to plan and deliver Climate Week!

A Catalyst For Change

Climate Week at UEA 2025 is a true testament to the power of students when we mobilize. By bringing together all disciplines, all schools, societies, local businesses, community groups and more we can take a systemic whole picture approach to the climate crisis! Climate Week is not just an event but a movement, a catalyst for change and will be a launch-pad for impactful change on campus and beyond!

GOALS FOR CLIMATE WEEK :

Transition from 'green' careers

Soft transferable sustainability skills

Support a transition from ‘green careers’ and ‘green sectors’ to an economy where all careers must be ‘Climate-Conscious’ by challenging current discourse and raising awareness.
