Climate Change is one of the modern world’s biggest challenges. From extreme weather to resource scarcity, habitat loss to respiratory illness- the impacts on both people and planet are devastating. 2024 was the hottest year ever recorded, and was on average approximately 1.55 degrees C above pre-industrial levels.
In 2015, world leaders agreed to The Paris Agreement, and limiting global warming to less than 2 degrees C and ideally below 1.5, which we’ve now exceeded.
Because of The Paris Agreement, achieving a Net Zero emissions economy is set down in UK Law.
If we don’t meet this 2 degrees target, climate change will indefinitely result in mass extinction.

The UK Government is also currently drafting its own sustainability regulation for businesses, the “UK Sustainability Reporting Standards” which will make it mandatory for businesses to report their climate impacts.
